It says "installed drivers" beside it. It is bizarre; I even removed the prog.with the "add/remove thingy(technical term)... It just sits there, doing NOTHING except irritate me. I had to put my taskbar on autohide so's I didn't have to look at it. I'm not obsessing yet.......

if it's a seperate program (meaning that it does not come with the computer), then there might be a menu in the "all programs" in the start menu. If it is a program, then you might be able to uninstall it

If it's not, then you can do one of two things:

1)if it's microsoft, right click on the desktop and click "properties". Then go to desktop, and there should be a button on the bottom that reads "customize desktop" it will open up a new window, and there should be a button that says "clean desktop now" near the bottom. t then follow the instructions, and the icon SHOULD be put into a folder that says "unused desktop items" or something. <------- this only works with shortcuts

2)if you removed it from the programs list (add/remove programs thingy), try restarting your computer.

NOTE: if you share a computer, you need to be logged on as the administrator (whoever setted up the computer should be the administrator, unless he/she change the account settings). On administrator, you can delete things on the desktop, and remove the programs you don't want PERMANENTLY

If it's mac, i can't help...
