Why do feelings come back so fast?

I dated this guy for about 7 months and then we broke up just because we both were young and figured it would last... we moved on and stopped talking i met somebody else who i been with for a year now..and he met someone to who hes been with for a couple months at most. I finally saw him and talked to him again and all these feelings came back?
