I would prefer a Cat. But dogs are cool too.

It depends on which kind of pet you want. Cats tend to be calm. They like to sleep and when you get a loving cat, they curl up in your lap with you and love to be pet. Dogs are more playful. So if you want someone to spend time playing frisbee or fetch or walking, a dog is definitely your choice. They're playful, loyal, and so full of love.
I've also found that cats tend to have more varied personalities then dogs do. So you can never tell if the cat you pick out will be the type that loves to be pet, or if it rather wants to hide and sleep.

Dogs are better by far. And the best dog is a Chihuahua! A cat usually just lives in its own little world and does not interact with you like a dog does.

It depends on what you want a pet for. Dogs are great to play with. Cats are great to snuggle and pet. I have 2 cats and a dog and both are great. I love them all. Also dogs are wilder and cats are calmer. (most of the time)

Cats show loyalty and respect, or at least mine do. Dogs will do the same, but they're more work. I guess you have to seewhat you really have time for and make your decision that way. But whatever you decide to do, adopt from a shelter or rescue group

u could buy both. or if not i would personaly pick dog cuz i had a bad experience with cats. i have nothin against cats but i dont like them that much.

cats pretty much take care of themselves. dogs require lots of time and work. walking, playing, bathing, etc. dogs must be on a leash at all times.

dogs!!!:) I love dogs because they play around and do all sorts of stuff. cats are fine, but they scratch.(my opinion)
