Try Isaiah Chapter 58 read the full chapter to get the context but the verses you are looking for start at verse 6 and ends at about verse 10.

I am sorry for all your hard times. This is a good Bible verse for a young man with a broken heart: Isaiah 40:29-31 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.

well, 12 of the commandments are all about feeding the poor. for example there are commandments that farmers must not reap all of their fields, they must always leave unreaped corners so that "the poor and the stranger" can eat from their fields. also, if things like grapes have fallen off the branches you are not allowed to gather them, you must leave them also for the poor. here is a line from deut 15:7
"If, however, there is a needy person among you, one of your kinsmen in any of the settlements that the Lord your God is giving you, do not harden your heart and shut your hand against your needy kinsman. Rather, you must open your hand and lend him sufficient for whatever he needs... Give to him readily and have no regrets when you do so, for in return the Lord your God will bless you in all your efforts and in all your undertakings."

I understand the importance of helping those less fortunate...but if I might ask you a question which is more important you life now or your eternal salvation? The Bible is food for the spirit which does not perish. Who is less fortunate than the man who denies his own salvation?

"Looking at him, Jesus felt a love for him and said to him, "One thing you lack: go and sell all you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me." Mark 10:21
"So when you give to the poor, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be honored by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full: mathew 6:2
"Sell your possessions and give to charity; make yourselves money belts which do not wear out, an unfailing treasure in heaven, where no thief comes near nor moth destroys." Luke 12:33
Heaven is more important than material possessions
