You mean the skank that works at the D&D in town and never gets anything right.$0..(thanks for explaining to us lessers what barista means)

In Australia, baristas are well paid as are the waiters in restaurants and cafes. There is no need to tip anyone, ever. You can tip if you feel like it for exceptionally good service but you don't tip people just for doing their job. You don't tip baristas. You even wait for change in a taxi - and the driver will give it to you.

I understand there are countries that pay people low wages and so you are required to tip. Rather than encouraging a hand-out mentality, why do you not change the labour laws to guarantee a living wage for workers?

I don't tip them anything.. I mean at places like Starbucks the coffees are expensive enough.
