Soil conservation is the best way to make sure that we have the land we need to live on. If you see your soil eroding, protect it with grass or plants. If you see something that's making the soil sick, do everything you can to make the soil healthy again. If you live on a farm, make sure that the soil on your fields and pastures stays right where it is right now! Using practices to control or slow water runoff is very important as well. My question is why a question as important as this one can receive only one answer after three days while seemingly useless or stupid questions receive dozens and even hundreds of answers. Preserving our soil resources is something we all should be concerned about.

Plant trees, and don't plow the earth. It keeps the dirt from blowing away.
