You can get that way by not talking to the one who wants to talk to you. Even more depressed when you find out that the person you ignore is the person who likes you best.

I'm a nurse. People feel physical as well as mental pain. One could have headaches to feeling tired all the time. A lack of interest in things a person once loved is another form of depression. A persons body will breakdown and yes can result in death. Please don't take this lightly, it's a serious thing. A persons body could begin to not work as good as when they are feeling good about themselves. I would recommend that this person write a journal about how they love themselves. I would start by putting all your feelings on paper and find a written solution to your problem. Try to do things that makes you feel good about yourself, no matter what it is. Take care and know that you are cared about and things may not be going well now, but trouble don't last always. Watch this and know that you are loved by those around you. www.mayyoubeblessedmovie.com

Depression is widely classified as 'anger turned inward (or unrelieved)'.
When the emotion of anger is elicited by any stimulus, the body undergoes hormonal changes that, in the natural world, would enable the human being to fight off an attacker.
These hormones (mostly adrenaline), create changes in all body organs. If the anger is unrelieved, these organs remain in a state of increased readiness (kind of like running your car engine on too high idle). This has long-term ill effects on all systems and organs.
The free flow of blood circulation is impaired, breathing becomes more rapid and forceful than normal, muscles remain in a tense state, digestion is impaired.
Since depression is a constant state of unrelieved anger, it puts the body in a condition that is very unhealthy.
This is why, if you are depressed, exercise is your best friend. Physical exercise, especially vigorous exercise, burns off the excess hormones and helps return the body into a state of 'homeostasis'.
