When you look at the video that was recorded in SLP does it look different when you look at another video that was recorded in SP.

It depends on who will look at the video. A trained eye will be able to spot the difference between the two.
Theoretically, videos recorded in SLP mode is slightly degraded in quality. This is so because the tape runs slower in SLP than in the SP mode. Slower means the video head has to compress a lot of video details for it to be reocrded onto the tape.
Again, only a trained eye (those who deal most of their time in video productions, or those who are keen in watching video details) can notice the difference.

Nope, I tape lots of things in SLP and the picture is fine and you get more to a tape. Tried things in SP could not tell the difference.

depends if you are using lcd / plasma to view on

if crt then not much difference, however because slp streches the tapes, they have a habit on snapping / wearing out quicker.

If on lcd / plasma a more dirrence can be seen, but if you have one of these tv then update to dvdr.

Hope this helps
