Microsoft does not support 98se any longer they will be of no help. as for the crack sites. They will give you the key along with a lot of other nasty things. viruses spyware and all that. You are not allowed to use someone else's key. Microsoft gets pretty upset about it. On the other hand I Have 98se and would be glad to give you a working key. Not on here though. IM me on yahoo messenger Nester22_2004@yahoo.com I have all versions of windows including 3.1 . The best one i think is xp sp2.

If Windows 98 is still installed, you should be able to access it by running Knoppix live Cd off your CD burner. Could you provide more details?
I pray you find your PKN. Try looking on the back of your PC for it. and if you do find it download and install Windows, run the UNOFFICIAL Windows98 Second Edition Service Pack 2.1a from http://exuberant.ms11.net/98sesp.html, OR the Auto-patcher for Windows 98SE 1.9 Beta / 1.80 Preview Release.
98se can be quite safe very viable, if limited.

Well, I don't think Microsoft supports Windows 98 anymore, but you could call and ask them for a new key if you have proof of purchase of the original disk. Other than that, you could look on Ebay for a new key, they generally go pretty cheap.

If you use Windows 98 you will get a virus because Windows no longer supports it. Dump Windows and get a good operating system for free at www.kubuntu.org

I'm seriously not trying to mock you but you should think about upgrading. 98 is hardly even useful anymore with the replacement of FAT32 by NTFS.
