My daddy's Catholic and he prays every night, but he still got lung cancer, he never smoked,so how come God gave it to him? Why?

I am sorry your daddy has cancer. I believe God uses tragedy to test our faith in him. Do not lose faith in God, all of this life is a test, and everything here is temporary. Pray for your father, and pray for the strength to continue loving God no matter what. God loves you so much that he was willing to sacrifice his only son's life as a ransom for our eternal souls.

Have additional parts of his body screened just because I think lung cancer is usually spread from other parts of the body. God does these things to give people only what they need and you will never understand God's decisions ever. I can't say that there is or isn't a God, but the second answer would be mutation of genes and susceptibilty for that to happen - a person's own genes. Also people are meant to die one way or another. I pray for your Dad, from my heart to your heart, if that's ok for a person who doesn't know if God exists.

It is a fact - that I can not give you what I don't have.
Neither can anyone else... including God.
He has, and is, LOVE, LIFE, PEACE, JOY, etc.
That's all He can give... He gave Himself.
Jesus explained, recorded in John 10:10, "The THIEF comes to rob, kill and destroy, but I came to give Life, and Life Abundantly."
The "Life Abundantly" in the Greek is Zoe. The eternal God kind of Life.
John 10:10 is the LIE detector of the bible - it's also the LIFE detector. Measure any situation by it and it will point you to the real source.
Go into your father put your hand on him and tell cancer "in the Name of Jesus you must leave", and then watch what Jesus will do.

I'm so sorry for your anguish. I see you have number 666 as part of your name. Do you know that it's the number of the beast? Are you worshiping something else? Repent child and ask for forgiveness. Pray for your dad.
I don't believe God put sickness on anyone. He is love. You may have associated yourself with something other than God and it brought mishaps into your family.

i dont think God GIVES people cancer or any other painfull or harmfull thing.
i think people sometimes without knowing inflict hard times on themself
or at the same time it may be another entity who's purpose is to hurt people (devil... maybe?) and some time illness come with life
i think it only makes a person stronger
im no expert

God does not give cancer. We humans develop cancer as an illness just like any other illness. The question is what causes cancer and how can we cure it? Well we are working on it.

Sin brought cancer. Not necessarily your daddy's sin, but sin in the world brings it about. We don't know god's plan, we are just to believe and have faith. He has a plan for each and every one of us and he doesn't make mistakes!

Disease is governed by natural phenomenon. There is no supernatural element involved.

God does not cause anyone to get anything, his word says that God cannot be tried with evil nor does he try anyone. It a result of sin and we being imperfect.
