well, God does give a family a sense of security and rules to guide and live their lives by. What brings the family closer together would be that there is a common interest in God. Like, He brings a sense of morality to teach and for them to obey.
Since God is peaceful and kind, it is sensible to think that a christian family would be as peaceful and loving as Him.
Of course we know this not to be always true.
But the biggest "ingredient" would be respecting each other.
Showing respect and being helpful is one of the best ways to show that you love your family and that you care.

Putting God first in everything that you do, worshipping together, praying together at home and believing that God will be there for you in the good times and the bad and never giving up during any trials that come along...
