I found it terrified when I see people in spitting and sneeze in public places in China. It is reported that there are about 800 million people in at present moment. If everyone spit and sneeze an average of 5 times a day, there will be about 4 billion spits and sneezes in the whole country everyday!!! Now, I think I understand how SARS are spread a few years ago.

They spit and sneeze on the streets!!! They should have use a tissue paper. I am always stress to watch out for those people. They dig their noses and ears too. To make matter worst, those people are in executive suits!!! I am not discriminating but it really happen.

well the etiquette europeans and americans have can vary from culture to culture. English, Spanish, French, German ahev similar customs when it comes to sneezing and coughing, but that's becuase their so close to each other that customs and traditions are usually alike. However, stretch to the other side of the world and people are entirely different when it comes to etiquette. for example in some asian countries if a person doesn't burp after a meal it means the food wasn't good, whereas europeans and americans usually usually follow a burp with "excuse me"

The Chinese government is trying to curb spitting and uncovered sneezing in public. Unfortunately in America, it is becoming more acceptable for people to do so. In some restaurants, I have seen people spit right on the tablecloths or on the floor of the restaurant. One reason for that is the way the food is prepared. for instance, chicken is chopped into bite sized pieces, bones and all. the meat is sucked of the bone, and the people simply lean over and spit the debris out.
In the mornings, I was told people expectorate to get rid of "night poisons" or to make sure evil spirits did not hide inside peoples bodies during the night. Not sure if it was true, but it sure was disgusting to hear people hock up and spit just after waking up.

Ok i have seen spanish and few america people and other culture spit and sneeze in public.. that does not really have class or manners... THey do that.. Not china people do that... it like you offen all asian people... who is raise in america and they parents came from china..
Any what problem with sneeze in publc .. Every does that.. Do you some hide at home and sneeze.? Everyone sneeze when the nose is itchy.. and Thinking about that sars was few years ago.. everyone was scary that they can they cand die from it.. But hope it would not happen again... And not one of the reason why people sneeze and spit..Or habit...

Their surroundings are so filthy and smelly, they get the natural urge to spit. The sneezing is caused by the pollution.

I virus should be made to wipe out all these sneeze-rs and spitters.theirs to many human parisites on this once pristine world.the white river dolphin they had in their river in China,was made extinct by them 3 weeks ago, those evil people.& nasty.nasty people.we need to killem all .kill killl kill.down with humans,save the animals,save the planet.
