You are assuming that God changes, and that is not so.
God is unchanging, the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.
So, if God is unchanging, he would not tell his own to harm their own.
Alas, if you are not Gods, meaning that you have rejected him, he gives you your wish and gives you over to your own thoughts and desires. Read the book of Romans if you want to know more about the choice that you seem to have made already.

God's commands are not burdensome but are for our benefit. God created us, so he knows what is good for us and what is not, Adultry causes pain to the mate that adultry was committed against, sometimes causing deep emotional pain that can last a lifetime. Then there is the chance of STDs, even some that can cause death. God gives us commands that will lead to the best and happiess lives we can live in this system of things and lead to a very happy eternal life in his new earth.

Religion was made to control the masses. It was used to keep people in line by scaring them into believing they would go to a HORRIBLE TERRIBLE place when you die. And if you do what SUPPOSEDLY he said was good. then you would go to heaven and eat candy canes and lolly pops for the rest of your existence. People seem to forget that back in the Historical times. The Church was the Supreme ruler of everything. And they decided what went into the book and what was Omitted. Now is that fair to GOD. Picking and choosing what you want people to hear? If you was GOD wouldn't you want everyone to hear EVERYTHING?

All those different men that wrote the bible over the early years just used common sense. It's as simple as that. They tried to write stuff to live by in a new and turbulent time for an early, budding, and confused human society.

According to the Bible, God cannot be in the presence of sin(immorality). Since God is all, makes all, knows all, etc. I'm pretty sure he is capable of keeping right or wrong straight.

There is NOTHING on this EARTH that God has written!
Unless you can find Moses tablets, although with all the power of creation, you would think God would have had a pen!

sin is "sin" because it brings death and destruction onto the sinner ...its not gods idea of being dominating and making rules of iron that go against the good ... God showed us what things ruin us both physically and spiritually ... so when u sin ... not only are u sinning against God .. ur sinning against and hurting urself ...
