That's where I saw the Blue Man Group, too! You'll enjoy it!
Check out Mia Francesca. It's right by the Briar Street Theatre and is very yummy Italian food.
If you don't want something as fancy schmancy as that, here are some other suggestions within walking distance of the theater:
Clarke's (on Belmont, right at the "El"). It's diner type food.
Clark Dog (at the corner of Halsted and Clark). Hot dogs and beer!
Cesar's (on Clark, just south of Belmont). I love their food (mexican), and they have killer margaritas (actually, I think the name of the place actually is Cesar's Killer Margaritas!)
You are just south of Wrigleyville and could easily head up that way to Clark/Addison where there are a zillion bars, most of which offer food. Check out Bar Louie, Goose Island, or John Barleycorn's.
Have fun!!!

Mia was a great suggestion, but it can be hard to get in.
Try Jack's on Halsted. It is less than a block from the theater.
There is a nice upscale Mexican right next to Mia - Platiyo.
If you are in a pinch and need something fast, try Eat a Pita. It's just a couple of doors down from Briar Street.
Also, you can look up the theater on metromix and do a quick search for restaurants, but I would try Mia Francesca, Platiyo or Jack's if you want to walk to a place within just a few blocks.

RE:
Eating out before Chicago Blue Man Group?
I am going to see Blue Man Group in Chicago next weekend, playing at the Briar Street Theatre. I am staying on the lake, so I was hoping to take a cab, or the El, to the theatre area and eat before the show so we can just walk to the theatre. Any good suggestions on where to eat?? Thanks!!

I suggest you not go to Everest on a theater day- reason being that restaurants like Everest should really be savored with 2-3 hours of time, possibly with a tasting menu.
My wife and I have gone to Mia Francesca many times and love it...plus its not expensive.

Depends on your mood For great sushi try GreenTea 2206 N. Clark (clark & Webster) I recommend the crunchy roll, its not on the menu, but as for it Rise 3401 N. Southport I recommend the Tuna tartare For Thai Oodles of Noodles 2540 N. Clark Noodles in the Pot 2453 N. Halsted Pad Sei Uew is AMAZING. Along with the mini eggrolls Chinese Avantgarde/ traditional chinese food is Joy Yees 2159 S. China Pl. You cna easily hop on the red line and get off at china town and walk to joy yees, and then get back on to head north to blue man group show I know these are more asian influenced restaurants, but they are simply amazing Good luck.

Mia Francesca is definitely a good option, but certainly not the only/exclusive good option in the area. Other good restaurants in the area include Andalous Moroccan restaurant (it's BYOB to boot), Yoshi's Cafe, and Erwin. You can check them all out on their Metromix pages in the links I provided below.
