For every "red" item that was bought, some of the money would go to fight AIDS in Africa (and line Bono's pocket as an "administrative fee").

They had a few huge billboards in Boston and a few other cities. It was on the news.

I guess they didn't sell well enough, because I keep seeing commercials for "red" cellphones....but they're for "valentines day."

Have you noticed this?

This campaign might not have been in your "large metro" redneck area, but all the cities that count ran media about it.

Yes, I painted my cellphone red to show my support. What a guy, Bono sure does criticize well. Maybe he should stop the bomibngs in Ireland and England first?

None in this "large metro redneck area either" Mr. Cranky -- I don't think Bono's the one with the biggest credibility problem on this thread

'my large suburb full of rednecks south of a redneck metro area"
didn't connect Bono to the cause just promoted the cause.
Nobody cares. If they did, they would have 'raised' their kids and they wouldn't all be stupid tramps spreading diseases to imitate the sitcom 'Friends' that did raise them, teaching them to be wild and careless with life through sex, increasing the instance of AIDS dramatically. Stars..they just don't get it.

I live in a large metro area and have never seen what you're talking about.

Sounds like you have issues.

Stop the hate.

You'll be happier.

Hmm, I guess my large redneck metro area didn't run it either.

The campaign was big all over and sold out of almost everything it was selling. It's been a huge success and made tons of money.
