1. Why cant a teacher teach instead of making time to stuff your face in front of a class? Can your student do this? NO! So why do they do this?
2. Why is it ok to call a student dumb, and stupid, get away with it. Why do teachers have so much protection, when they are abusive, then deny it?
3. Why do teachers teach if they are prejudice? Dont even go there to say there is no such thing, bite your tongue!
4. Why is it that a student could get assulted on campus grounds, beat up the restrooms and tell the parent we will protect your child, & your child wanted to get jumped and lets put the child in a safe place isolated called oportunity, so that child can resent and become angry, then blame the parents. Children pick up some bad habbits in our schools, schools in denial.
5. It would be nice to learn to teach rather than criticise and criple someones life, teachers have that power to ruin someones life.
6. Would like to see our schools care about the children with a loving staff!

Wrong, Gemma. Teachers can influence people, for good or bad. But it is parents who teach their children to be decent human beings. Teachers should follow it through.

1. Why can't school districts give teachers sufficient breaks so they don't have to have lunch while teaching? When I taught fifth grade I had 30 minutes a day... for lunch, photocopying, consulting administrators, making phone calls, and answering correspondence.

2. Why is it OK for students to be rude and disrespectful and then say it's their freedom of speech?

3. Why isn't it OK for teachers to have personal opinions and express them in an appropriate fashion? (Obviously I'm not talking about real prejudice.)

4. Why do parents, who raised their children through the formative years of their lives, always want to blame schools and teachers for their childrens' problems? Spend more time with your damn kids if you don't like the influence a school has! I work in a preschool now and I spend ten hours a day with some of these children! They spend four waking hours a day with their own families! Do the math!

5. It would be nice if students would recognize when a teacher is pointing out an honest fault and try to correct it. Our job is not to be your friend, but to TEACH you how to be a decent human being.

6. Do you think we're in it for the money? If not, why else would we do it if not for love of children?

Have you ANY idea what it's like to teach for ten hours and then come home, log in, and have to listen to someone whine? Teaching is the hardest job in the world. So whatever your damn problem is, GET OVER IT.

First of all, Priscilla S, we know who gave you that star for your question.

Instead of griping, why don't you try your hand at teaching? I'll give you less than 2 months before they take you away kicking and screaming to the loony bin.

It seems to me like you are only taking the bad and not even considering the good.

Every teacher I've had has genuinely cared about their students.
Sounds like you've had a very bad experience.
