Actually, it states that your prayers will be hindered, and it doesnt say spouse, it states husband.

THere is more to this than meets the eye and I suggest reading the entire chapter to get the entire message.

It does NOT have to be in the bible & I don't think it has anything to do with GOD anyway. If your mistreating your spouse, KARMA is usually in charge of that. You either believe in it or not, one way or the other, GOD still sees your wrong doing to whoever it is, he may answer your prayers, but NOT to the point where you expect to be "rewarded" (a.k.a. forgiven). It's up to him whether or not you will be punished by paying for it by going through a misery of your own. I don't think you should rely on GOD or any body to answer your prayers lady. I think you need to use COMMON SENSE. If your doing wrong to someone, then STOP. If you know your a bad person, then do something about it, make your changes, become a better person if you want. This doesn't always work for everyone since some people are born EVIL. only YOU have control of your life & what you let people do to you. Don't rely on religious beliefs or GOD to save you from your mistakes. Life is about learning, growing, maturing & making the right decisions. If you want to take the wrong route, then you have to start answering YOUR OWN PRAYERS & not expect GOD to answer them for you each time you screw up.

Read I Peter 3:7. For those critics who think that I Peter 3:7 applies only to husbands, study Psalm 133. Be blessed spouses!

“You husbands, continue dwelling in like manner with them according to knowledge, assigning them honor as to a weaker vessel, the feminine one, since you are also heirs with them of the undeserved favor of life, in order for your prayers not to be hindered.” (1 Peter 3:7)

"Them" refers to the wives.

I don't think those specific words are used ... but you reap what you sow, therefore if you aren't treating your spouse right, you aren't likely to be reaping many rewards.

I never heard that. God chooses what prayers answered based on our faith and our need.
