Nope aint gonna happen. the only way you can find out who it is, is by having the phone company tell you who it was, which leads to finding out how to have the phone company tell you that confidential information. one of two things, either you have someone that works there that you know that will be willing to risk his/her job to give you the info, or be a police officer that has a case against the said private # and recieves some sort of warrent from a judge to be granted that info (the actual #.) so i really dont see you finding out who is calling you private, best advice i can give you is to say the following when you pick up the phone to a private call "Good afternoon city morgue how can i direct your call" and just have some fun with these stalkers you might have...........................

You can't.... not even the phone company has the info. If the person calling you is purposely blocking their number from showing up on your caller id, you will have to go through the long process of having your phone records subpoena and appear before a judge...I don't know if it's that serious.

You may be out of luck here. The gift card scam is pretty common. People steal stuff from stores and then return the unopened mechandise. They get store credit in the form of gift cards and sell them for cash. The problem is that even if you do contact the police, you could be on the hook for trying to receive stolen goods since this scam is pretty common. Her hope was that you sent her the money in an untracable way. Had you sent it using PayPal or some other means of tracing, she probably would have completed the transaction since she is still ahead.

you can't unless the person to whom you are trying to contact gives it to you, or the police or the telephone company that provides the service to this person (but they are not to do that because it is a Private number). A person requests to have a private number. Unlisted is just that, unlisted. Sorry
