If the Pacman runs for mayor in his home town or his fathers hometown or even in his wife's hometown he would win by a landslide, heck he could even win a senate seat if he runs for senator which is very scary because ultimately the people will suffer. Don't get me wrong I'm a avid pacman fan but boxing and politics just don't mix. Another thing is he is in his boxing prime and politics would only serve as a distraction. I say stick to boxing and become a 3 time/division world champ or maybe 4 time/division and after his boxing career if he really wants to enter politics then go do it but he needs to mature and be responsible first as a person and learn proper decision making. (signing 2 contracts and making a **** load of complications out of it is just immature and irresponsible. very poor decision making tsk.. tsk..)

It's easy to dismiss much of what Floyd Sr. says as rubbish. But only a fool would do so. The Mayweathers are notorious $#!t talkers. Sometimes it's amusing and sometimes it can be annoying. However, you don't reach the status they've reached by knowing nothing about boxing. As much as I like Pacquiao and want to see him win this fight, I must admit that he did make a few tactical errors and that Floyd Sr., while often over confident, does have a point. I take nothing away from Manny but the "accomplishment" was greater than the "Fight". He won the title in spactacular fashion. There's no doubt about that. However, there were times when I wondered if he allowed Cotto to survive or if he showed him a bit too much respect. Cotto is no speed demon. At times, he plodded about the ring like a wounded lion, recently shot by a pocher. Yet, Manny followed him rather than cut off the ring. He proved that he was tough enough to take anything Cotto threw at him. However, this fight made me wonder why Mayweather ever ducked Cotto. It really goes to show that Cotto is definitely NOT the same fighter he was before Margarito destroyed him. Again, it takes nothing from Pacquiao. I give him credit that he was brave enough to face Cotto, something that can not be said about Mayweather. I also give Manny credit for destroying Cotto in brutal fashion, Something Floyd claims was due to his destruction at the hands of Margarito but at the same time, claims such as proof to why he didn't bother to fight Cotto. The truth is that, before Margarito, Floyd would rather stick it in the mouth of a rattlesnake than face Cotto. I'm a bit irritated by Floyd's constant claim of greatness when he has done NOTHING at welterweight worth talking about. The fighters below welterweight were all limited and he avoided all the best fighters at welterweight. Floyd makes a good point with his comparisons of Oscar in his fight and with Manny. Still, he has not faced a world class welterweight. Given this, I still say that Manny CAN NOT fight Floyd the way he fought Cotto. If he does, he will be picked apart. Manny has the Speed and Power to trouble Floyd but he can not afford to allow Floyd to dictate the fight. Time will tell

Hell its a big NO!Pacman should stay in boxing rather than to run for a post. He is in his prime and politics will just ruin his career. Boxing and politics are immiscible. A politician needs to stay up late at night doing paperworks and a boxer should avoid staying up late coz it can affect his performance in the ring. If he insist to run as a mayor, he's career will surely suffer.

Paquiao is like a GOD in the phillipines. He would win if he was running for President, Governor, Senator, Ruler, King, Dictator, etc. and win. Its all about getting internationally famous and your home town/country worshiping you. Hey if Eastwod, Swarzenegger(sp), Jesse Ventura etc can do it?? Why cant Pacman??

He has the chance of winning in terms of popularity as the people in Gen.San hails him and of course Philippines but that should not be it. For everyone sake dont ruin your dignity we all know its not good to be in politics here in the Phil. Your a boxer not a politician it is a totaly different world. Damn his advisers.

He shouldn't and just focus on getting the Barera fight underway. But if he does decide to run for any government post. He'll definitely win!
