the ultraviolet spectrum. There are three kinds of UV light, UVA, UVB, and UVC. the sun produces all sorts of light from across the eletromagnetic spectrum, but UVC is absorbed from teh atmosphere. A black light, on the other hand, uses a filter to let only UVA light htrough, and a black is just basically a UV light.
