Alternating current.

If you mean Alternating Current, it is electricity that goes one way down the wire then stops and goes back the other way - usually at 60 cycles per second - seems like an odd way to make electricity, but as it happens, it is the only way you CAN make it - to convert it to electricity that always goes the same way requires a conversion process.

If you mean Air Conditioning, that's a machine that cools air.

If you can imagine a car battery, OK now grab both leads and swap them 40 times a second. Basicly this means Alternating Current whitch means that the positive and the negative swap constantly. There are two main types Sine Wave and Square Wave: Sine wave means that it slowly alternates from one two another very smoothly, Square wave changes instantly.

AC is an abbreviation for Alternating Current. Or it could be an abbreviation for Air-Conditioning. Or it could be Atlantic City....lol...You need to be more specific.
