My fiance also has bumps and itches but not on head, right under his armpit. Any suggestions or info will be helpful. Oh and we are not allergic to any animals.

Sounds more like ringworm to me. Check your kitten for bumps and patches of missing hair. The way to test this is to look under a fluorescent black light or UV light(you can buy a light at petsmart-link below). If the spots turn fluorescent green you have ringworm. Don't freak; the best thing you can do for your kitten is to take it to the vet to get a shot because topical treatment can be hard to place on every single spot and you may miss some areas.

Treatment for you and your fiance would be athlete foot cream or yeast infection ointment. Also, there is an oil called "Ringworm No More" that I have used and it works. The website is below.

Good luck! Don't get rid of kitty!! If you do have ringworm, the damage is already done anyway. You just have to work on treating everyone. It can be tedious and trying but you'll get through it.

Things you can do:

sanitize cat brushes/combs
Wash bedding
Wash cat toys
Wash hands often
Do not scratch area
vacuum (hair follicles)
Call the shelter to let them know to prevent this from happening to someone else.Note: Doing this may force the shelter to put the infected to sleep.

It could be fleas, the itching could be caused by flea bites. Your vet can check the kitten for a diagnosis.

If you do have fleas you will probably need to flea dip your cats (dip is sold at most pet stores) and you will need to kill the fleas in your house to keep your cats from being reinfected. I've used the "smoke bomb" kind of insecticide with good results. Read the instructions carefully, you have to cover all food and dishes and take the kitten out of the house while the insecticide is going off.

sounds like ringworm..it affects the hair follicles, so it makes sense that it would be on your head and underarm area. It is actually a fungus and not an actual worm. You need to treat the kitten for it and go to your doctor to treat yourselves. Does the kitten have any skin that looks scaly or has patches of fur missing? This would be the ringworm.

Check for fleas on kitty and yourselves. They are very small and look like flakes of dirt. They tend to hid in hair but will try to get away from water. They move quicky and you have to drown them or pinch them as they do not squish. Special shampoo products will help rid them but you'll need top wash bedding kittys been on as well and if kitty goes back outside with out a flea collar or control you'll get more.

You have fleas. I just got back from the docs' office and all I was told was to soak my head. If your cat has been on the top of your pillow or been rubbing on you alot he probably does have fleas. I have the exact symptoms with my head .
Hope I could help!

There's a very good chance that you may be allergic to your kitten. Either that or it may have fleas, but I think more likely you would be allergic.
