Well in the Bible it does state that all animals should have cloven hooves (so no pork) and all fish should have scales and fins (so no lobster, crab, shrimp) in order to eat them. Seven day Adventists do keep this in their faith. The rest of us do not follow it, but then again it is all in the interpretation. Alcohol is permitted in the Bible just not to the point of drunkenness.

Orthodox Christians are supposed to fast for what works out to about 1/3 of the year, though in practice only the most devout do. This includes Wednesdays and Fridays, the periods before Easter and Christmas, and some others. The idea behind fasting is to take your mind off of worldly necessities and focus more fully on God. Fasts typically forbid animal products, turning Orthodox into vegans for short bursts. An exception to this is before receiving Holy Communion, when you are not supposed to eat anything. Equally important to these fasting rules is the idea of maintaining self-control. So just because a given food might not be forbidden on a given day, you still should not stuff yourself with it.
Interestingly, the Church does not forbid any food in non-fast periods (there's no such thing as an "unclean" food for us), and actually forbids fasting on official feast days, when Christians are supposed to celebrate God and accept his gifts to us. Finally, there are numerous exceptions to who should fast and when. Generally, it is understood that children, older people, the sick, pregnant women, and others with special needs, will not fast.

First off, Religion is a personal Choice and no matter what your faith we should have respect for those people who have different ideals and beliefs.
My faith teaches that we should treat our bodies as temples. We only have this body that our Father in Heaven has given us. We should use WISDOM when it comes to drink, food, and substances. Scientists have proven that tobacco is harmful and causes cancer. Alcohol also is harmful to our health, plus there have been many families that have been destroyed by alcohol abuse. Our diet should be carefully followed by the guidelines of the people in the Bible; grains, vegetables, fruit, poultry, fish and little red meat. Again, in my faith we work on following these guidelines, but that's why we're here on Earth, we all are being tested and tried; and are given a gift; FREE CHOICE!

I think in principle any substances or foods which have been forbidden for muslims are also prohibited for jews and christians because it is decided by Allah the only one God.Pork and any substances from pig is prohibited.Animal blood is forbidden too.
Died animal or carrion I think could not be eaten by jews and christians. But maybe the animal that is slaughtered without saying in the name of Allah the merciful and loveful they can eat it
but for muslims is forbidden.
Cow meat for jews and hindus is not allowed to be eaten becau se cow is a sacred animal. for them.
Animals those are dedicated for idols are prohibited for muslims but for other religion followers can be eaten.

Well , it depends on how folks look at it.
Some folks think smoking is a sin and eating meat is a sin for
vegetarians.
But really, so many sins, the world has all sinned and come
short of the glory of God.
We were born into sin. But God forgives sins by the blood of Jesus.

Pagans don't really have rules about that. We generally accept that we interact with the Earth and everything on it. We see that both plant-eating and meat-eating are parts of nature.

Nope, feasting on various decadent foods and drinking fine liquor are not frowned upon at all in my religion. And the logic behind it? That it's good to live life to its fullest and savor every moment.

Baha'is are forbidden to take illegal drugs, alcohol or carrion. Other than that, we are allowed to eat whatever we want, provided we don't eat to excess or hurt ourselves. We do believe that in the future society will be vegetarian, but that is not a law in our Faith.

In my religion (LDS "Mormonism") we are not supposed to smoke, drink alchohol, illegal drugs, coffee & tea. We are encouraged to eat whole grains, eat meat sparingly and try to eat as healthily as possible. These guidlines are in place because we believe that our bodies are sacred and that those things are harmful to them.
