I come from a mixed Muslim/Christian family. People ask me all the time if I was "confused" growing up, but the truth is, not for one moment did I think I was anything other than a Muslim. I'll tell you why: when I was five, I asked my aunt if I was a Muslim or a Christian. She frowned and asked me why I wanted to know. I told them the kids at school want to know.
She told me not to think about it, the answer would come when I was older. We celebrated all the traditions of both sides.
It did. I accepted all of God's prophets, including Muhammad, which makes me a Muslim.
I dislike how people use Islam to be hurtful towards others, espcially women. I believe there is a true egalitarian message in Islam. I dislike how out of context people take things and how they judge the religion when usually culture is the offender.

It is unfortunate that lots of terrorists are in the radical fringe of Islam. I really hope that these groups are a huge misrepresentation of Islam and that the vast majority are peaceful worshipers. I wonder why there are so many terrorist acts in the Middle East than anywhere else. Nothing new, but a sincere answer.

i love islam and it actually does not practice misogyny or else why would i be a muslim while being a female. some of these misconceptions are rooted so deep in everyone's minds that it seems impossible to clear them up. i wont even get started with the islam is not violent issue. i've been a muslim all my life. i like everything about islam but i do not like all muslims (the ones who misrepresent and corrupt my religion).

All religions created by man is just that....unless the Church was established by Christ, then it is man made and its doctrines are based upon the beliefs of men mingled with scripture.
13 Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:
there is only one religion established by Christ....pray and figure out which one it is!

Like all religions, it is a particularily dangerous one which attracts extreme minded people. Not necessarily violent, but certainly violent towards many of our hard fought social freedoms.
Would say it has done more harm to the world than any religion besides Christianity--- whose ambitions I suggest to be no less than a Christian version of these very Islamic nation-states the United States government so vehemently opposes in the media.

Islam is the same message that all of the prophets of God have been conveying. The Holy Qur'an has never been changed, since it was revealed over 1,400 years ago. It guides humanity to the perfect way to live our lives, in order to attain an eternal life in heaven. The final prophet of God, Muhammad, was the perfect example of how us human should live our lives.
I'm very happy that Allah has guided me to the truth! I used to be a Catholic, and I now am so happy as a Muslim! I wish the same for everybody!

" terrorism, killing, blood, etc..." ........
of course these r the first things that u can think about while discussing the concept of Islam... but y don't u think it in a different way??? just try to think about it like that... " Islam is justice, equality, mercy, right worship to Allah... and its enemies want to fight it.. they tried to fight face to face, but they failed... so they decided to "brain-wash" non- muslims, just in order to try to weaken Islam..." Does that simple analysis make sense??
plz before answering this question, try to read more and more about Islam.... just in order to decide correctly

Well at first I just heard about them in the news, but then I realized that's just the extremists. Then I met some and realized that they have a very loving religion and I like it. The extremists give Islam a bad name.
