I think you have a good sense of just how warped some Xtians are. The only "good" that matters to God, supposedly, is that you serve him on Earth. You can be a mass murderer as long as you subscribe to the Bible. Meanwhile, Gandhi, who made the world a better place for half a billion Indians, not to mention inspiring peaceful nonviolent uprisings in America, Poland, South Africa and a dozen other places, he's roasting in hell because he was Hindu.
It's true. It makes no sense. And from the responses you've read, some people actually feel this is absolutely justified. Sure Gandhi may have SEEMED to have done good things, but since he didn't worship Jesus he really was bad and deserves a pit of fire.
Fact is there are a lot of deluded brainwashed people walking around. In my opinion they have the potential to do real harm. It's a tiny little step from condemning people to actually persecuting them. Look at the Crusades, the Inquisition, the French religious persecutions. It's all the same.
But like someone else said, don't get too angry, it's not worth it. Let them condem if it makes them feel better; that's what xtians do.

you're asking a extra sensible question than maximum individuals comprehend. The question is, upon death, does a non Christian a) burn constantly like a sprint bit asbestos in never-ending torment or b) burn to a crisp and be extinguished constantly? i latterly examine a compelling e book by a Christian theologian, Edward Fudge (sure, it is his call!) called "the fire That Consumes". it is the only theological medical care of the doctrine of Hell that i've got ever examine. it is not the main universal concern of Christian inquiry, simply by fact maximum individuals Christians are completely confident that the answer to the question above is "a) eternal asbestos-like torment". Fudge researches each reference interior the recent testomony, the previous testomony, the Apocrypha, the Pseudopigrapha, and distinctive different historic writings and concludes that the respond it rather is maximum strongly supported by the Scriptures is "b) burned to a crisp - accompanied by eternal nonexistence". maximum theologians do not provide this any theory by any ability, yet none has tried to handle Fudge, simply by fact after reading this effectual e book, there is not lots to stand on in contradiction. base line, it completely replaced my questioning from "a" to "b". i don't think that an unredeemed guy will go through without end. he would be extinguished and as a result lost without end. desire that facilitates.

Remember the police don't just come to your house and arrest an innocent person, you have to do something to deserve it. As the child of a 40 year police veteran I can testify to the fact that the thing my father disliked most was putting people in jail, but then he had to they had made their choice. If you have violated the Commandments you deserve hell. That means little white lies too. You are judging God by human standards and you can't do that. It would be like standing in court on trial for murder and saying, "hey but I never jaywalked", you still gotta pay.

You spend too much time talking and thinking about Hell being a place of heat, brimstone and fire. I personally DO NOT believe hell is anything like that. Hell is YOUR personal torment by all the choices of evil you make; denying Christ and the Holy Spirit is an excellent example. Yes, Jesus Christ is our Judge and he will make that decision on Judgment day, but he's a forgiving God and he knows our heart. The scriptures stated that he will return, when no one knows, but the two greatest commandments states; Love God with All Your Might and Soul and Love One Another as He Loves Us. All we have to do is work on our own soul and do the best we can and try to develop a Christ Like attitude and live the commandments. Yes, we all slip and make mistakes, but that's why he died for us, so we can go through the steps of repentance.
My faith doesn't dwell on Hell and condemnation. Our faith focuses on love, family, living our lives the best we can, Christ Like, and gaining self improvements. This will blow your mind, but I truly believe there are degrees of heaven and depending on our worthiness we will gain that degree of heaven. I only want to live with my family for all eternity.
Don't be so hateful and belligerent toward people who believe and trust in the Lord. Many of us are happy and content in our faith and only wish to share our joy and happiness with others.

Because the whole premise of your question is wrong, and no good person rejects the salvation that can only be had through accepting Jesus as your savior.
You need to get over your malicious arrogance and ask Jesus to forgive you for what you are now doing. It's your soul, and the universe belongs to God. Reject the owner of the universe and He is disappointed in you, and His only choice is to send you to hell because God loves people enough to not allow evil into heaven. Those who reject God will all be confined together, as it was their choice to make, and God has made you free to choose.
Would you let people who hate you into your home?

Keep in mind that they aren't sending anyone to Hell, and neither is God, because neither God nor Hell exist. It's just a nasty story that works for some people on a psychological level. It must feel pretty good to be able to look down your nose at someone, smug and safe in your belief that you're going in the "up" elevator and they're going down. It must feel even better to feel pity for them, and seek to "save" them, oh, how wonderful is the person who cares enough to try to save you from an imaginary fate, right? Perhaps it is useful as a "warning" (threat) to children...the "believe or burn" argument can be awfully persuasive when directed at those who do not question authority figures and believe whatever they're told about God (who is portrayed to kids as sort of a malevolent Santa Claus).
It's a useful belief system, all right...provided that you a) don't care about inflicting psychological harm upon others; b) believe that your delusion is "truth" enough to attempt to delude others; and c) don't mind abusing children; and c) don't want to face reality yourself.
A rational human being who cares about his/her fellow man has no time for such a toxic doctrine.

OK, picture this: you've got a group of rapists, murderers, arsonists, and thieves running around. By your line of logic, they should be free to hurt others indefinitely without ever paying the price for what they've done to hurt others. The judge who sentences them is evil because he sees to it that they reap the consequences of their own actions.
You make the choice to accept Christ or reject Him while you're alive. And since all choices have consequences, God's only agreeing with you and your decision on where you want to spend eternity. Blaming Him for what you've already chosen to do is like blaming the judge who sentences a criminal. It's not the judge's fault. . .it's the one who did wrong in the first place.
I'm so glad that you're in control of the universe, by the way, and get to make the decisions about who's evil and who isn't. I'm sure that's an enormous weight off God's shoulders.

Even though we all deserve death and hell, God has given us a way to be reconciled with him, he even died for you to have eternal life.
It is not about not being a Christian, and you are assuming that you have to right to re-define "good" in God's eyes. The thing is that none of us are good except by our own standards, but those aren't the ones that count. Salvation is a free gift, but if you don't want to love and worship God here on earth, why would you want to do it for all of eternity?

People go to hell because they are sinners. Since, we are all sinners, we need forgiveness to enter heaven. Jesus offers us Salvation by the forgiveness of our sins. Without Jesus we cannot be forgiven, however, we must leave open that Jesus can act in someone's life even if they haven't been in a position to know who he is.

The God doesn't send people to hell idea is just proof that Christians do not accept responcibility for their actions! They do not feel they have to be responcibile for what they do so why should their God?
These are probably the same people that beat their wife or children then say, "SEE WHAT YOU MADE ME DO"
