yes,it's ok Lauren to have a boyfriend at 13, as long as you both like each other, and you are ready to engage another level of closeness or say friendship. It's part of a teenager's experience...just do it. But think it not only twice but as often 'til you or both can decide, time is precious..ok!

Well it depends on how old this"Matt" guy is?!?! If he's the same age as you then go for it, but if he's way older, then i suggest you just wait and see what comes your way later!!

It is ok to say that your boyfriend and girlfriend. Everyone does at that age. But what is not okay is for you to be doing things your mother wanted approve of. You know sexual things that are meant for marriage and stuff. But whats the point of being boyfriend and girlfriend at your age? You can't go anywhere without your parents anyways. He can't drive to see you. Its not really dating at that age. But whatever.

"boyfriend" can be a title you can give him.. it doesn't mean you have to change anything.. at 13, it's not like you are going to make plans to get married or anything like that.. just take things slow and don't do anything sexual..
