As terrorism increases, it will increase hostility against all religions. Faith/God may be seen as a threat to society, therefore, all religious books/worship/etc. may become banned one day. People of faith may be forced to denounce their faith or be jailed/killed.
what are your thoughts, good, bad?

Interesting read-- I don't see that it will be terrorism that spearheads this but just a joining together of religious powers that will make laws that will condemn those who belong to dissenting faith communities... a big erosion of the laws around Church and State separation is already happening in the US. People ARE being killed for not denouncing their faith (particularly if it is a dissenting faith) already in various parts of the world (eg., the Sudan). It's a good idea to try to take a less Ameri-centered focus when looking at unfolding events in the world.

God bless!

Well if I ever was to pray for anything this is what it would be. Not that I would want to persecute anyone for religion by no means, I just think its time we consider that humanity is more important now than just a bunch of worshipping idiots. Any GOD should understand that maybe what he put us here for isn't working at this time and we need to REFOCUS our efforts. He cannot be that egocentric now can he? He created us, he has to deal with the effects of that. Our planet cannot withstand more wars, more abuse, genocide whathave you and the only way this will go away is to get rid of RELIGION and BIAS all together.

OMGoodness when I hear people say that Christians will be persecuted for 7 years and its the mark of Satan and its in revelations blah blah blah, I feel so sorry for them. They cannot believe for one minute that maybe just maybe that it isn't true and they would never take a chance to even step aside from the box to even consider that maybe God will understand if we need to change our Focus. IF they truly believe that he cannot, then who has the problem here? God created Free Will is what they say, then why cant we use FRee Will to say God we need to do this so we can save mankind is that not what you utimately want us to do. No mankind=no one left to worship you either.

It has already happened in some societies at different times in history. No country is immune to this phenomenon, just as no country can be prevented from eventually becoming religious. Compare Maoist China, when organized religion was a major no-no, to modern authoritarian-capitalist China, when religion is ok as long as the state has some control of it. Even better, compare communist Albania under Hoxza (probably the most extreme case of repression of religion in history) to modern Albania, where churches and mosques are sprouting all over the place.

I think we have a bigger change of any kind of books except the bible, will be banned. Soon the bible will be banned also. But there are too many religious people in the world, maybe they will make Christianity has to be legal for all countries.

When there is a predominance of cheating, lying, sloth, sleepiness, violence, depression, lamentation, bewilderment, fear and poverty, then irelligion will flourish.
Because of the bad qualities, human beings will become shortsighted, unfortunate, gluttonous, lustful and poverty-stricken. The women, becoming unchaste, will freely wander from one man to the next.
Cities will be dominated by thieves, the Vedas will be contaminated by speculative interpretations of atheists, political leaders will virtually consume the citizens, and the so-called priests and intellectuals will be devotees of their bellies and genitals.
Yes, that will happen.

I know it really scares me when I think about it, but if Jesus could die for me, I could die for him too. I believe you are exactly right. These things will happen. It says in the bible that believers will be persecuted. I know I shouldnt be scared because dying for my Lord, I will be blessed with eternity in heaven. I am willing to be jailed or killed for Worshipping God, because he promises he will always be there for me and take care of me!

Religion is at the root of all problems in this world....there is either too much, or not enough.
I would like to think that it would be illegal one day..but it won't.
It will just continue to perpetuate the world's problems and also try to heal the world's problems...make sense?

That's not how theists think. It's more like " *THEIR* evil false religion made them do bad things; it means our faith in *OUR* just, true religion must be even stronger".

It should never be illegal; but just like believing in goblins, it should be something believers are strongly encouraged to grow out of.
