Some people's bodies reject metal, no matter what type of metal it is.

Well it sounds like to me you have yourself an allergic reaction to the metal used in the hoops! The little bump is probably either the infection, or a skin reaction to the metal. Take out the hoops, and put what you had back in. But before you do that, dip the posts in cleaning solution and put then thru your piercing a few times over. THen put the earring in and DONT TOUCH IT! Don't bump it, spin it, etc. Let it heal. If things are not any better after that in 2 days, you probably need to go get some antibiotics from your doctor. Don't worry, 99% chance he'll tell you you won't have to remove the earring!

I suggest finding a pair of solid gold studs or hoops and put those in... you can find them at walmart for like 15 dollars. I am alergic to everything you can think of except gold and sterling silver but they have to be SOLID no gold plating. I suggest removing those hoops asap and replacing them with the new ones. make sure to clean the new ones first with an earring cleaning solution as to make sure that they are clean specially since there is a possiblity for infection. Also i used to the cleaning solution even AFTER the recommended time Its good for keeping infection away. If nothing else works, i recommend taking out the earings letting the holes heal and then do it again later and using only real gold studs or hoops.
Oh also... the bump... i had them in my ears everytime i've gotten them. Generally they go away sometimes its just part of the healing... if it does not go away within a week or so go to the Doctors and have them look at them.
Probably the best thing to do would be taking out the earrings and do it again after its completely healed itself.
Hope it helps!

Yep, you've got an infection. Keep cleaning and use an antiseptic cream. Are the wires in your hoops surgical steel or gold? 10-14K gold would be best while you heal, you are less likely to have a reaction to gold than to other metals. If the part going through your ear isn't gold or surgical steel, the cleaner may be reacting to the metal content in the post/wire and causing more problems. Cleansing with salt water will sooth the itch and help with healing as well.
Good luck.

stop touching them. it's going to be hard, but you can do it. touch them only when you clean them. your hands are covered with germs. you should only touch your piercings when you need to clean them, and only immediately after washing your hands.
you may be having a reaction to the metal. and that usually takes a couple days to get really sore. if these are new piercings, did you leave them in the suggested amount of time? and are you changing from the piercing jewelry to something cheaper?
i know i can't wear the kind of hoops that slide into themselves. i don't really know how to describe it. there's not really a clasp. just a thinner part of the hoop that will slide directly into the bigger part. it's a continuous circle. those make my ears horribly sore.

Take the earrings out you are obviously sensitive to it and that is why your ears are itching.
If you don't take the earrings out eventually your earlobes will swell up turn red and become very sore and start the hole will start to dribble a horrible sticky watery liquid which I can only guess is pus.
I had the same problem for many years and now I only wear earring when it is necessary. I have tried Sterling silver 9 ct gold and surgical steel my ears still rejected them.

It seems such as you've got a severe epidermis reaction/inflammation. i might do away with the earring for a whilst and manage it via first cleansing the section with peroxide then rinse and pat it dry then attempt some cortisone cream for the annoyed section on the relatively lobe for a pair of days. If it gets worse see a doctor the superb option away. It feels like trojan horse bites on your photograph in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it relatively is extraordinary that it would not harm, itch, or experience heat. regularly an illustration of an infection is redness and swelling and the section regularly feels heat.

The fact that it is hot to the touch makes me think you have an infection. You should have a doctor or nurse check it.

you may have sensitive skin and there for must wear sterling silver and real gold at all time! The bump is NOT common, get it treated by the local dermatologist quickly.
