If you are holding your breath then no. Your body will eventually force you to take a breath. You will not pass out, you body won't let you get that far before you have to breath. You can't stop it no matter how hard you try because that is your bodies way of keeping itself alive. Now if someone is cutting off your air supply then yes because when you have to take that breath you won't get any which will then cause you to pass out and eventually die. As far as swimming, same, you don't pass out then take a breath and die, you have to take that breath no matter what and when you do you inhale water which kills you.

2. Why else would you ask this?
3. NO--you will pass out from lack of oxygen, then resume
breathing normally.

u can pass out but if your brain stops fuctioning you will eventually stop breathing and yes you will die

No, you'll pass out first or your 'gag reflex' will kick in which then you'll start resuming to breath
