I'd suggest fruit such as pineapple, apple, etc, and baking. If your mum doesn't have time, make some for you and the whole family to share. Things like chocolate cake, brownies, boysenberry muffins. Try not to put many, if any, processed foods. And if it all comes to nothing, pb and j sandwiches aren't all that bad are they?

Here are some things I pack for my kids, keep an ice pack for anything with dairy or mayo. Soup thermos for soup, mac & cheese, pasta, etc. Fruit (grapes, banana, apple or pear - uncut or they'll brown, mandarin oranges). Veggies cut up with small container of dip/dressing. Yogurt. Trail mix. Apple sauce. Cheese sticks (mozzarella and cheddar are most common). Crackers with cut up meat and cheese - like homemade lunchables. Egg/chicken/tuna salad sandwiches, especially good on pita for less mess. Single serving cereal boxes and tupperware with milk. Hardboiled eggs. Homemade mini-muffins.

Well, if there's a microwave available for students at your school, maybe you could warm up leftovers from dinner. Or how bout one of those lunches you put in the microwave like a Tony's Pizza. (The small one of course). lol.
