If Jesus did not sin when he did this, how does it become a sin if a regular person does so? The fact that he is considered to be God negates the so-called sin for the same act? If Jesus committed any other act considered to be sinful if a mortal does so, is Jesus not sinning as well? How and where do you (as a mortal) draw the line on what is acceptable vs not where God vs man is concerned? You can't. Either something is sin or it isn't. Jesus would have known this. But because many Christian churches throughout history and even today teach this, does this make the churches wrong since they're blatanly teaching false doctrines (that they made up as a way to understand God and control the population) to a question they can't even answer that doesn't take much research to find out?

I agree with the possibility that he may never have existed.

Alot of those same churches who say it's a sin, teach and believe that just being in the same room with alcohol is a sin even if you don't drink any. So therefore just tasting it is a sin to them, never mind consuming enough to get drunk.

Well technically there is no level saying where the line is for being drunk and Jesus never committed a sin (good ol' fake-a.ss J-man, bless his nepotyrical position as god's son.) And yes the church is made up of older people trying to rule the world because they cant control their own death so they try to rule small towns and churches by relying on making everyone think they sin in one way or another. But are church going people good people? Or are they simply people who go to church?

This does determination from denomination to denomination. i flow to a baptist church, and baptists are strongly hostile to alchohol. in my opinion, i do not imagine that alchohol is a sin. i imagine that is alright to have a pitcher of wine at dinner, or to have a lager at a fish fry, or maybe a pitcher of champagne on New Years. i imagine that the celebration existence-form is a subject matter and the Bible does say stuff about drunkeness. "and don't be less than the impact of alcohol with wine, that is dissipation, yet be full of the Spirit." Ephesians 5:18. so a strategies as His miracle of turning water into wine, certain this develop right into a fermented, alchoholic wine. the clarification He did it develop into no longer for the celebration a lot as for the HOST of that celebration. The host develop into throwing a wedding ceremony reception, and in lately, if he ran out of accomodations for his travellers, they'd the right to rob his domicile. It develop into custom lower back then. So it wasn't so as that human beings might want to proceed partying a lot because it develop into to guard the guy from dropping his domicile and funds.

The problem with your reasoning is that it assumes that believers at all times and in all places and under the same strictures. But this simply is not the way the Christian God works. Consider the Law of Moses. If a commandment/sin always stayed "on the books" as it were, Christians would need to avoid eating pork, be involved in or looking forward to performing animal sacrifices, be under commandment to circumcise and have much stricter rules on the Sabbath.

Quite frankly, the rules of God change with the environment. In some times he tells people to not kill (10 Commandments) and in other times to utterly destroy (Israel taking over Canaan). What is important is that you're following the most recent version (or the version that currently applies) of what God has commanded you to do.

Also think about Peter and his vision on the rooftop. Prior to Christ's ressurrection, the Gospel was only being preached to the Jews (even Christ referred to Gentiles as "dogs"). Then, Peter has a vision of clean and unclean animals and it's made clear that he's supposed to spread the Kingdom a bit wider than he thought.

What God wants of us can change, but his essential message stays the same.

Drinking alcohol at no time was ever a sin. What you have is some self righteous hypocrites saying it is sin as they themselves do not agree with it. It is not a sin to drink nor is it a sin to celebrate with the use of Alcohol...it is not wise to be a drunkard.

No, consuming alcohol isn't a sin, but getting drunk is. Many people consider consuming alcohol as a sin, because that's their conviction.....which is ok.....as long as they don't judge me by their convictions. I have yet to see in the Bible where it says consuming alcohol is a sin.

That depends on the church doctrine. Each church ie. evangelical, catholic. orthodox have their own views on drinking. I have gone to many dances in churches where alcohol was served. Most Christians do not believe it is a sin to drink, only if you abuse alcohol.

Jesus drank wine, but we do not have any stories of him getting plastered. Most Christians believe that it is this excess that is sinful, not the appreciation of a good merlot :)

Getting drunk is a sin to many. Drinking a sip of wine is not.
