Nope. I recently had a friend come to visit me and he tried to impress me by bringing me an expensive gift and paying for all our meals and entertainment for the weekend. Didn't get us anywhere other than leaving me un-impressed thinking I was interested in his money.

Date someone for their personality not their bank account or credit limit.

Never. I've never dated anyone because of how much money they had or didn't have.
