Many romanians know about America, but many Americans don't know anything about Romania.

A Romanian is a person from Southeastern Europe. Most Romanians speak German, English and French as well as Romanian (a Latin-based language).

An American is a citizen of the United States. The U.S. is a highly multilingual country. The top three languages spoken are English, Spanish, and Chinese.

There are many differences besides the fact that one is from America and one is from Romania! Mostly as a result of the oppressive Communist influence that has not long been gone from Romania. In the U.S. most high schools are a lot easier. We have only four academic classes each day and two electives. In Romania, they have 14 subjects per year, not only six and therefore, have a lot more studying to do. Tests in Romania are not multiple choice, but instead essays. That helps the teachers compare students and their abilities better. As a matter of fact, schools in Romania (and all of Europe for that matter) don't put much emphasis on dress code, rather focus more on knowlege. Romanians like to dress up everywhere they go, despite how poor they are. Americans tend to wear casual clothes and only dress up on special occasions. Americans mostly struggle from crime and drugs. Romanians struggle to survive. The majority of Romanians suffer from malnutrition and poverty. The salary per month is about $100.00 per month and the prices are the same as in the U.S!!! Most Romanians struggle to make ends meet, but are warm, fun loving, hospitable people in spite of this.

They can both be from America or Romania, it really doesn't matter where they were born. But to be labeled Romanian the blood line or family has to descend from Romania. I would say....
