No. Scabies, crabs and lice are three different kinds of body buddies. Scabies are tiny mites that burrow under the skin to lay their eggs. Crabs are pubic lice, and they like to live in the groin mostly, but will live on hair in armpits as well. Lice are a similar kind of critter, but they tend to like living on the head, and in overcrowded situations will move to the rest of the body where there is hair. Scabies tend to be spread through contaminated bedding and clothing, though also through towels, sleeping bags and even clothing you try on at the store. Pubic crabs are usually shared through intimate contact, and body or head lice are gotten through shared hats, combs, and brushes. In schools, where the children put their heads in close proximity, they will hop from head to head as well. But they are not the same thing, and you don't catch one from the other.

No you can not. Scabies is a contagious skin infection that is caused by a type of mite.
Scabies is spread by direct skin-to-skin or close bodily contact.
Even the cleanest person can become infested when there is direct, skin-to-skin contact with a person who has scabies.
Due to the frequency of infestations on the hands, contact with hands, i.e. shaking or holding hands, can spread scabies.
Pets (dogs, cats and rabbits) and some farm animals (goats, horses, cattle and pigs) can be infected with scabies mites, but these are of a different type than human scabies mites. If you have close contact with an animal that has scabies, the mites could get under your skin and cause temporary skin irritation and itching. However, the mites die in a couple of days, and you do not need to be treated with special medication to kill the mites. If a pet or farm animal has scabies, it is important to have the disease treated by a veterinarian or you could continue to get reinfected from the animal.
