The best way to get rid of chapped hands and knuckles is to put lotion on when you go to bed and put gloves or mittens on to keep the moisture in.

Just like the others said.. and I really agree that wearing gloves is VERY important in preventing this. Be careful what type of lotion you use, because a lot of lotions have perfumes that will cause it to burn. I suggest if it is really sensitive use Vaseline overnight. I get chapped skin all over in the winter and I use Curel lotion. It doesn't irritate my skin.. I have tried others like Lubriderm unscented and it still burned! But seriously try Curel and wear gloves.

I have extremely dry skin, I use Aveeno. Taking flax oil or primrose oil will really help too. Although it isn't something you take once and have results right away, you have to take it for a while. Primrose oil is also really good for girls because it balances your hormones and is good for your skin and hair. if you have cracked cuticles put neosporin on at night and then put gloves on. Drink lots of water.

The opposite of wet = dry. You need to replenish the moisture in your skin. Stay away from anything with mineral oil in it (oil and water do not mix). I like cocoa butter or udder cream for my hands (anywhere else is too heavy for my oily skin).

Purchase some corn husker's hand lotion, it works great! Another trick, put lotion on before bed,put gloves or socks on your hands, sleep all night, next morning the hands will be really soft.
