The face itself is loaded with nerves, and the ones between the eyes are very close to the surface- not a lot of space there to put stuff in, you know. You also injured the skin when you popped your zit, so you compounded things. First it was irritated and infected, but at least it was all still intact. Now it's irritated, infected, and there is a hole where it shouldn't be. No point worrying about that now. For starters, apply some heat. Increasing the blood supply will help healing, and as it can now drain outside, anything left infection wise can drain out better with the heat to encourage it. If you have some tea tree oil, a tiny drop on the spot will aid in healing and help prevent a second infection. Keep your face clean, and keep your hands off it unless necessary. If you have to touch the spot, do it with clean hands, and don't touch any other skin until you wash them again. Next time you have a painful zit, apply heat as hot as you can stand as often as you can stand, and leave it alone otherwise. If you pop them before they are ready, you can really just make matters worse, and your skin doesn't actually need or appreciate your interference.

Because it probably still has something in it which is pressing on the nerves in your skin. There is really not much you can do but wait until it heals.

clean it really good and try not to touch it anymore. if it's still filled with stuff, you'll probably have to pop it again.

Infected.... and your prodding it most likely further inflamed it. Clean with peroxide thoroughly and put an antibiotic ointment on it like Polysporin.
