Ha, Ive been wondering myself!
This is a tuff one, but i personally think it's becuase we here others say it to people and we otomaticly think since we are going out with someone or dating and have a crush it means we are in love!
We arent though! Everyone on earth needs a wake up call that love is so special you will feel it when it happens, like you will just know your in love.
Its not some thing we maybe/kinda think, its something we are willing to commit to.
Many people are just in plane denial and want that connection they see between people on tv and movies
its all a misunderstanding of like and love

'I love you' as a statement can mean many different things to many different people. I can say 'I love you' to my husband for different times with four different meanings ... because I 'love him' in more than just one way, and for 'more reasons than can be counted' and also 'for no reason at all' ... so why don't you simply 'accept' it when you hear someone say 'I love you' and don't think that they 'don't mean a word' ... they don't have to 'love you' enough to marry you to 'mean it' and they can just be telling you that they really appreciate something you have done or even could do in the future. YOUR WORLD will look a lot 'brighter' and if we could all say 'I love you' to people we meet, I think that more 'true love' would be 'available' in this tired old world we live in for all of us to enjoy.

People say that because they THINK they do. Usually if they really loved someone they would do something to prove it. But some people in this world think it's just a silly toy to play, but of course it's not. It really does hurt when they never mean it. Some say it because they're stupid and they want to hurt people's feelings, OR they say it because they truly do care about them.

in my opinion people say it because they think they should. i know in personal experience that i have said it and not meant it. i think that it is more that they want to say it to get something or they think it is the next thing to do in the relationship. if u dont feel that way then u shouldnt say it. i am madly in love with my boyfriend and i told him as soon as i knew it was right.
