I agree that they could be freckles... I know exactly what you are talking about and they are not a rash or an allergic reaction. I have came to the conclusion that they are the result of dry skin (in sensitive areas such as the arms, chest, and back). My sister has them severely on her upper arms and so does a male friend of mine. I used to have them also until I started moisturizing regularly and lightly exfoliating (still have them, but they are much lighter and barely noticeable). I don't know what they are exactly, but freckles (or maybe even scars) is a good guess considering freckles are often the result of skin damage... maybe not necessarily from the sun.

Seeing as you said they don't itch or flake or nothing I am thinking they might be freckles. Or maybe even strawberries (i dont know the exact term but that's what mom would call them). She told me I have one on my chest in the same spot she has one on hers. They are like red moles or something

Are they kind of hard and rough? Do they grow around a hair follicle? If you pick one off, does it shaped like a thumb tack? If so, they have keratosis pilaris. It's an accumulation of dead skin cells around the hair follicle. It's hereditary. It runs in my family. There's tons of stuff on it on the internet.

Is it like a rash? It might be contagious. My guess would either be an allergic reaction to something, or a skin condition.

It sounds like an allergy. Some people just have really sensitive skin. This can run in family's.

It sounds like freckles????

If you are worried about it, take the baby and the hubby to a dermatologist and get it settled.
