I can step up a basic peperoni frozen pizza very nicely with onions, garlic, green pepper, etc. Has anyone ever put garlic butter on the bottom of the pizza dough and cooked? Will I need a lower temperature and more cook time so not to burn?

Never tried it. It would probably make the dough more likely to burn. Why not just add some fresh garlic to the pizza itself. One small clove would do. Crush it first with a hard object and then chop and blend with the other sauce ingredients.

If you mean on the underside of the crust, you run the risk of the garlic burning, especially if you have dark, non stick bakeware. Good ideas though to dress up an otherwise boring store bought pizza!

YES I have tried it and it is fabulous. But now I make my own pizzas due to getting nauseous from the frozen garbage ones. I bake my crust first with this garlic butter on top and on bottom, then add my toppings.

I bake mine at 390*.

i wouldn't think you would have to do all that but than again I guess it is on how much butter you put on the bottom of it I would make sure release in under it just to be on the safe side its in the foil area helps things not to stick

Don't use fresh garlic. Use garlic salt.
