Don't you just love computers?
The other guy is right, the ABS and speed sensor is located on the top of the differential. It's possible that you may have damaged the sensor when you were inside replacing the ring and pinion.
You might want to try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, this will temporarily clear the stored fault codes. Afterwards the truck should start up and run better without the anti-lock light on.
Go for a short drive and make sure the speedometer works properly. If it doesn't the computer will quickly become confused and will try to compensate for the missing data, at this point it will likely go into "limp-in mode." In this state you will be limited to 1st and 2nd gear only. The truck will run like crap. Go to a dealer and pick up a new ABS sensor. You should be good to go.

Good luck

There are a few reasons. The emergency brake pedal may be down a notch. If the rear end was removed, the brakes may not have been properly bled afterwards. The speed sensor for the rear antilock is plugged into the top of the differential housing and may have a dirty connection. Check all that.
#1 and #3 misfiring is somthing else. Put in a new set of sparkplugs starting with 1 and 3. if he engine runs ok, put in the others. If that doesn't work replace the wires, cap and rotor. Those are most common mode of failure there.

you need to be more specific please. but if its your abs and emergency brake light is on. I know in the dakota its means the speed sensor is bad on your truck. it should be located on top the pumkin of your rear end. does your speedo not register untill you get to a certain speed?

also there is one on your transmisson but the rear end one goes out more than that one.

the miss fire is a seperate problem from your abs and brake light being on. check your plugs and wires and make sure they are connected right. pull your plug and see if they are gapped right and not dammaged.

I want to say your mis fire is your cam position sensor but dont quote me on this. there is alot of ram fourms out there. find one and ask them. also is this a 318 or a 360 motor or a V-6

yo ucan try here

www.dakota-durango.com might not be a ram fourm but they use the same engines and someone can help you troubleshoot your miss fire alot better.and those abs and brake light being on.
