"Religion" can be confusing with all the diffrent "religions" out here the devil had a lot to do with that but I'm sure in your heart you recognize the truth, why don't you try to pray and ask God to reveal Himself to you as the one and only true God and watch to see where He takes you so many people have and that's why so many people are Christians religion is one thing but you have a relationship with God that's a whole nother ball game sweety and it's AWESOME! And when you get into God's word after you get saved, you'll see for yourself, but when you read you must be saved because it's the Holly Spirit that speaks to us through the word of God and it will change the way you think, act, walk, talk, live, it will make you grow in it, the word of God that is, and it will give you so much wisdom on life and spirituality and every thing it will so make you a better person, that's how God moves, through His WORD that's why so many people follow Christ because we know the truth, when you are a genuine person, you will know the truth when you here it, just like what people say " game recognize game" so I say seek after God yourself, God Himself will show you the way and don't go by what others tell you, people will tell you anything, but go with your heart, other religions were made to cause confusion so that it keep people from knowing the truth, that's why the Bible says confusion is not of God but of the devil so, if you desire in your heart to know the true God then keep seeking one day He will let you know who He is, God Bless

The clergy should be able to answer questions people may have and these are so complicated that they are not even certain sometime. They, however, want to remain trustworthy. For doing this, they just spit out even though they don't know what they're talking about.
I'm not being sarcastic over the clergy and religion. It may be confusing you in the beginning but once people are awakened, they are so grateful to find their paths through it. Don't think it's stressful. It will pay it off after your mental agony.

I can relate on this one. I am still trying to figure out why religion is confusing. I was attending a Church the Pastor made it into a 3 ring circus. I don't get why the Pastor thinks he has to make the Church I had attended for 3 years all of a sudden into a 3 ring circus. This is a Non-Denominational Church. I and a friend just don't get it. We couldn't take anymore.

If Christianity wasn't such a challenge, there would be nothing special about. what makes christians different is that even though it is hard, we don't give up and go along with the crowd. we stand firm to what we beileive, and even reading some of the answers on this website, it hurts to see all the lost souls. And then again, to see all the more people responding for God. Think about it, if there were only a set number of spots for people to get into Heaven, sayyyy... 500,000,000 spots for the ENTIRE world. would people be more apt to believe? of course! it's only because heaven is free to everyone that people rejet God.

I agree it can be very confusing,That is why i am spiritual and let God talk directly to me as an individual. He guides me in a way I can understand for he knows my heart and soul and mind and is an excellent communicater. There is no confusing book and no one tells you how to think,he tells you what he feels you need to know but it is up to you whether you listen or not.He speaks the truth in a very loving way and puts you on the right path to be and reach your goals and to find true happiness and love is the key to it all.I,personally ,put God first others second and my self last and everything works out right

It doesn't have to be confusing. More people make it such an issue. I am a catholic and have spoken to many, many people of different religions. You want to know what it all boils down to? You want to know what would make it NOT confusing and stressful? I'll tell .... it all comes down to faith in God (whatever the name may be in whatever religion), the willingness to love and forgive and live your life as the best person possible. When one has faith and is humble enough, there is no confusion.

It really does not have to be confusing.
You are correct in saying people get upset over their interpretations, but there is no guarantee that any of them are correct, and those that get most upset are usually worried that they may be proven wrong.
Ultimately, arguments over religion are a waste of time for all concerned.
If you have decided on what you basically believe, stay with that.

that is why i dont put myself in a religious category. yes i believe jesus walked the earth and did the things he did. now that is all the information I need to know. all of these man made religious laws is something they can keep. and to be honest i dont believe everything in the bible word for word because it was translated too many times. even the letter j isnt pronounced correctly so there is no telling what entire sentences have become. so i just live my life right be good to others

It doesn't HAVE to be. Personally, I believe in God, not religion. I have my own personal relationship with God that is MY business and mine alone. No stress, no confusion. If I am presented with EVIDENCE about What God is or does, I change MY beliefs accordingly. I do not REQUIRE others believe as I do. Listen to what YOUR heart is telling you, not somebody else. You are a pretty smart person.

Sweetie, If you read the Bible day in and day out without God in your heart, it's like you're beating your head against the wall.
God reveals His word to us as a guide, a comfort, a sword, and his promise of a better life after here.
Everybody isn't going to agree with that and that's quite alright.
