If you're concerned about bad or good Karma your focus is wrong.
These are like actions that someone else did that you reap the benefit or detriment from. There is nothing to be done about it, so let it go
The only karmic decision you can make are in the present. Try to get those right and let karma take care of karma.

Do not take anything which has not freely been given to you.
Do not lie or speak maliciously about others.
Do not kill.
Do not indulge in sexual misconduct.
Do not become intoxicated.

Summary is to actively think about not doing what you internally know to be wrong and don't get so drunk that you forget to actively think about not doing wrong.
More important than generating good karma, this will eventually free you from all karma.
Once all the pieces are put back in their box and the board is clear you are free from all obligations.

That is a good question. Remember, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
First of all, if we do a good deed so that WE ourselves would feel better then there is a condition attached.
It seems ALL our actions must be unconditional.
So it follows for example that if we spend time in a soup kitchen, then we do it for the poor sods who have to eat that stuff and not so someone will show us gratitude.
Bummer eh?

Do good deeds and help a brother out. You will often find yourself in situation where while sacrificing something may leave you in a temporary state of discomfort, by helping these other people you build up respect and karma chips.

Well, if I had to compare this ideal with Christianity, I would say the golden rule... Do unto others as you would have them do unto you... That verse is the closest I can think of to"Good Karma"" !!! And that is pretty much all! We are to care for all life..If you are genuine about it, You will have Good Karma....

You live your life the best way you can without causing hurt or unhappiness to others.

You give good karma.

since you ask this in the religion and spirituality section, I will give you an answer from the Bible, the bible says what so ever you sow, you shall also reap.
this has been used by Churches to get money from people. but it goes a lot farther than that it also applies to time and deeds.
the more you give the more you get, that also applies to bad things.

Incline your actions, speech and thoughts to virtue with the intent of being of benefit to others. There is nothing more or less than this.

simply to love god and try to love one and other as our self
do as you would have done to you
that we attract to us stays with us
good karma is a judgment call we dont need to make
we get as we give.
