Our neighbor who sued us last summer (because of our hedge) has held a grudge ever since - and she won her case! She sued us because we grew our hedge 10 feet high in the back yard and she couldn't see down the street into the other yards while relaxing on her deck. Anyway, strange things are happening ever since the court date. People are calling asking how much we are selling our house for, and cars, etc (they are not for sale) and when I ask them their name and where they got our # they hang up. Sometimes she has followed us in our car. We have taken alternate routes just to see if she was, infact, following us - and she was - through parking lots, around the backsides of stores, etc. I went to the local police department last week and what they told me was to wait it out and see if it keeps happening. They kind of thought it was funny. "It " has been happening since August.

This is not to be taken lightly. This really should be considered stalking, and can lead to worse. I urge you to go to rd.com (Reader's Digest) then click on "True Stories" and on that drop down menu, click on "drama". On the list of stories, look for the one called "The Neighbor from Hell". I immediately thought of this story when I read your question. Don't let it get to the point where your life is threatened. The police should be ashamed that they would think this is funny! Make them listen and take you seriously!

Document, document and document ALL the strange occuarances. Keep a log book handy in your car, your purse, briefcase, etc. When you get a strange call, activate the call trace feature. In Canada, I believe it is *57. Check your local phone provider for the code in your area. It will NOT give you the number, but will log it with the phone company, even when the caller activates call block. After 5 nuisance calls in Canada, the police can retrieve the log and pursue charges. You will need a record of all the occurances and it may take a few complaints before the police will act unfortunately, but the more written documantation you have, the better. Good luck! She sounds like a pain! And a psycho!!!!!!

Sorry to hear about your neighbor "Gladys" problems. Sounds like this lady has a few too many screw loose. I honestly would document and keep record of everything she does. If you see her following you, see if you can try and video tape her doing it. Get some evidence of her spying, harassing and such.
I wonder if you could get phone records of who called you. Take down the time and date of each phone call that seems like a prank call. I wouldnt do anything to her though, or else that will fuel the fire and then gives her something to rebuttle with if you do take her to court and what not.
Sounds creepy and seems like she doesnt have much of a life and is looking for some excitement. Good luck to you and hopefully Harriett the Spy there will stop!

lGladys kravitz to the max! God, dont t these people have any thing better to do with their time ? Jeeze-thats creepy she follows you through parking lots? This must mean she has constant surveillance of where you are and what you are doing, eeeeks !this is even scaring me. She also has her own Vietcong to help. Man I wish I had that much time and energy toput into my sport - which I have neglected- this chick has a "hard- on " for you(in a matter of speaking)_ If she needs something to do -I have a couple horses that need to be groomed , fed and ridden every day.

slam on the brakes when she's following you and sue her for damages.
call phone company and have them make you a list of all callers to your home (costs money, don't know how much).
get answering machine to pick up.
get a restraining order for the family. one restraining order per person. if they have a kid who goes to the same school as yours , they have to change schools (which means they'll probably have to drive the kid each way and deal with work- haha). you can follow her to the store, call the police for her being there.
you do it first!
then go purchase a 10 feet tall bush to put in your yard so you don't have to look at her house because it's an eyesore to you.

Sounds to me like she just wants to be a jerk...tell the police that she has been harrassing you and that you are fearful as t what she might do. Anyone that complains about hedges is obviously screwed up in the head and you need to be careful around them. It may be nothing, but it's better to besafe then sorry right?

Your neighbor needs to quit drinking, and you need to get a lawyer. Harassment is totally against the law.

That is scary. That's good you already called the cops so they can also keep track of her. That's what I would've done too. Or I would let anyone who's familiar what that person is up too. Let me tell you, well that's what happens with watching SCARY movies. KARMA!
