Just because a person is really nice doesn't mean you have to be with him still if you feel that the relationship is not working out. I think that is the worst thing you can do to him. Being with him just because he is nice. You need to talk to him and explain to him how you feel. That maybe right now being friends is more important to you then being boyfriend/girlfriend. If he's really nice he'll understand - you'll find out who he really is at the end...

Tell him that you just dont click. Give him his good aspects and tell him that because you care about him, you do not want to hold him back...be caring and nice. NO letters or emails.
