I have had the flu since Saturday and now tonight i have a really awful tickly chesty cough. When i get this which has been a few times i always end up vomiting with the cough. Anyone heard of this and anyone any cures?

Thank you all for your answers found this on the web which may be of interest to you. It seems to be a form of Whooping Cough (Pertussis)!!!

I find steam inhalant excellent for any of the flu symptoms, hope you soon feel better.

Drink at least 1 quart of pineapple juice a day with 1/3 water and breath through HEPA air purifier, optimal temperature/humidity. Ussually most coughs are gone in a day or so.

yes we had it in the uk i got it at christmas i was vomiting as coughing that much plus if you have got any flem it is that making you vomit if you have any honey put 2 teaspoonsfull in a cup of hot water and pure lemon juice that will cut the flem stops you coughing as much.but if you dont get rid in day or 2 go to doctors as you may need antibiotics.hope you feel well soon.anne xx xx

Yes u must be coughing so bad that it's bringing up your food....Try avoiding dairy products when u have a bad cold-flu...This is what my Doc told me...milk etc causes the mucus to thicken

Whiskey, honey, and lemon drank hot!
