I remember being 9/10 and bird hunting with a shotgun.
Now it seems 9/10 year old's have a hard time with simple things it almost seems they lack common sense I feel like putting a diaper on them or is it just me?

It's parents. They're so petrified that any authority they exercise will land them in court that they choose to be their kids' friends instead of parents. Doesn't help the kids grow up and teaches them to use any little excuse as a crutch. Mediocrity is not acceptable, and parents need to grow a pair.

Its some of the parents. Some parents expect kids to raise themselves. No structure. Some dont have meal time.
In my house I cook and we sit at the table and talk about the day, or whats going on at school ect. My cousin never cooks thy just eat whatever. They never go to the table. And her kids run wild all over .
Her house is always messy . My son says I'm " ANAL" about my house. I cant stand a mess. I love opening up my front picture window drapes but not before i vacuum lol. I guess I am a little but I just cant stand sleep if i know the house is not in order.
My kids have chores. Like clean their rooms, and if they do extra stuff they earn extra allowance, and activities. Some parents never take their kids to do the fun stuff so they dont have anything to look forward too.

Because parents have to walk on eggshells trying to disipline there children. And didn't you know that everything is bad for you now, including shotguns? Children aren't allowed to make mistakes to learn, the chance is taken away when they are placed in front of a TV and zombified.

lack of discipline and teaching...parents are in a tough spot because if they punish or "supposedly mistreat" kids they are bad parents...but let them do whatever they and let them be brats...they are bad parents.
