Guys are a different breed as far as what they think is romantic versus us gals.. Take him to do an activity like mini golf.. or maybe an indoor water park.. Or anything that would just have the 2 of you together and doing fun stuff.. Then after that.. mabe hit up a sports bar.. and have burgers and a few beers... Then.. if your feeling saucy later..Go to a movie and do something sweetly sexy like sneak him a kiss.. and give him some lil keep sake of a present.. doesn't need nor should be to spendy since you just started out..

Go to the lounge at the top of the Hancock building after enjoying a meal somewhere that you can afford. Drinks are kinda expensive there, so if you are short on $ just order a mineral water, or a soda.
If you can, sneak him into the woman´s restroom. This has one of the best views of the city! Trust me, even though it is in a bathroom he will like it.

Considering the weather...check out some cool music, go to a small intimate restaurant and whisper sweet nothings to him...go snowmobiling and stay at a B&B in Rockton or make his favorite dinner and cuddle down with a good movie

A guy will be surprised at all if you do anything. Shouldn't he be the one planning it for you? But something uh romantic... I always like a nice quiet dinner and then cuddling on a movie that he would enjoy. Scary movies are the best because even if you aren't scared you can act like you are. It gets you even closer to him.

Cook him dinner, make dessert. Set it up romantically--candles, tablecloth, flowers. If you are old enough, have champagne chilling. My husband did this for me in his dorm when we were dating. It was the best Valentine's Day we ever had!
