Go to Itunes home page and reinstall the program.

first do a search perhaps u had more then one version in your comuter go to search and click all files and folders then type itunes and if that doesnt work then put back in the disc that came with your ipod.

I would recommend going to the nearest apple store and asking them as soon as you can.
