No. Because a "parent" would not stand idly by while his "children" were being raped, starved , tortured and murdered if he had the power stop it. Plus, I think there is plenty of proof of dinosaurs and evolution, but none to support the existance of "God". I think religion is just man's way of easing the fear of one's own mortality.

[006:125] And whomsoever God wills to guide, He opens his breast to Islâm; and whomsoever He wills to send astray, He makes his breast closed and constricted, as if he is climbing up to the sky. Thus God puts the wrath on those who believe not.

[006:126] And this is the path of your Lord (the Qur'ân and Islâm) leading straight. We have detailed Our Revelations for a people who take heed.

[006:127] For them will be the home of peace (Paradise) with their Lord. And He will be their Walî (Helper and Protector) because of what they used to do.

Peace Be with you and may God guide you to the straight path

I believe in God. The theory that the entire universe came from a blob the size of a football, that is the Big Bang, just doesnt make sense to me. In fact, the Hindu theory that the universe has no beginning makes more sense to me, no offense to Hindus. And How could gravity just happne? There has to be SOMETHING that determined the laws of physics. I could go on and on about the flaws in science but im not.

God/Allah/Jehovah/YHWH/Shiva/The Tao/Zeus/Brahman are all basicallly the same thing: a being or foce superior to all else in this world. There has to something that is stronger than everyting else, there always is an superlative. And this comcept is far too universal to be just a myth. We just forgot the proof.

Yes, I hate it when some use science as a reason for not believing in God. A questioning scientist would be agnostic, not atheist. If you use science then you are annoying me as a Christian and a Biologist...
....Just because evidence is not available does not mean something does not exist...
Fundamentalist are a little creepy though, I will agree with you on that.

Of course!

Check this out, Surat 35, verse s 5, 6 & 7, English translation of the Holy Qur'an:

In the Name of Allah the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

5. O Mankind! Verify, the promise of Allah is ture. So let not this present life deceive you, and let not the chief deceiver (Satan) deceive you about Allah.

6. Surely, Satan is an enemy to you, so take (treat) him as an enemy. He only invites his followers that they may become the dwellers of the blazing Fire.

7. Those who disbelieve, theirs will be a severe torment; and those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah - Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, theirs will be forgiveness and a great reward (i.e. Paradise).

I do not believe there is empirical evidence either confirming or denying the existence of deities hence I am agnostic and for the most part no I do not believe. I tend to put my faith in the human being next to me.
