You are a man by asking for advice and trying to deal with a difficult decision. I think you should try to get to know this child first and not just throw yourself into her life as her "father". You have seven years to make up and it should take some time to build a relationship. I think it would be confusing for a child to just have a dad one day so that's why I suggest taking it slow.

Why are you even asking this question? Go meet your baby girl. She needs a man in her life now more than ever. Unless you want to hear from her in 10 years about how she became a prostitute and will do anything, "ANYTHING" for attention from a man. Step up and own your actions. If you are not around, she will grow up craving attention from men, and that will turn ugly. "Should I be a man?" Really, do you want to be known as a baby boy for the rest of your life? Or would you like to see yourself in the shoes of someone who calls himself a man. Silly question. Just do it. Do the right thing. You know what that is.

For God's sake! Dude you said you are 30 years old?! So act like that and take some responsibility and at least establish some contact...I don't say go and life with her, but at least be a father to her...okay there might be some questions about your absence but be honest to her, she'll be grateful.
All the very best to the both of you

Cherish the moment. You have a daughter you never knew about. Think of all the positive that can come of this. Although it may be hard to adjust your lifestyles, having a child in your life is well worth it.
Congratulations to the both of you.

Step up and take responsibility. Pay child support and get visitation rights. It isnt too late to establish a relationship with her and be her dad.
